David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the company stated: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions directed at young women.
The company declined to specify the motivations for this action, noting: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, having sold more than 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books combined, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
